On the Beat

Norman Pitkin wants to follow in his Dad's footsteps and become a policeman, but unfortunately he is well below the required height. However, at the lodging house of Mrs. Stammers, they believe Norman to be someone fairly high up in Scotland Yard, although his superiors rely on him for one thing only - to clean their cars. That is until one day he drenches the new Commissioner, who dismisses him.
