My Motherland

France is in her sixties and lives alone in her fancy apartment in eastern Paris. One day, she hears a radio program about an organization that helps connect refugees without housing to people who can offer them a place to stay. She decides to volunteer. A few days later, a young Afghan man named Reza, who is just about twenty, comes into her life. Although they have nothing in common, they'll need to figure out how to live under the same roof.
