Mrs. Miniver

In 1939, the Miniver family resides in Belham, a town near London. The outbreak of war shatters the quiet serenity of their everyday life. Their son Vin enlists in the Royal Air Force and becomes engaged to Carol Meldon. Mr. Miniver, part of the local civil defense, is summoned to assist in the evacuation of British troops trapped at Dunkirk. While he's away, his wife Kay encounters a wounded and desperate German pilot who poses a threat to her.
