Mr. Mom

Michael Keaton plays Jack, an automobile engineer recently laid off amid the economic recession of the early 1980s. When his wife, Caroline (Teri Garr), lands a job in advertising, Jack is compelled to stay home to care for their three children. All of this provides the formula for a domestic comedy of errors. Keaton propels this farce, cutting an appropriately screwball figure as he confuses boundaries between the traditionally masculine world of manufacturing and the feminized realm of housekeeping.
