Minor People

Vera is house-sitting an unfinished mansion in an upscale neighborhood of Odesa, a city where the newly wealthy are increasingly settling. When her roommate becomes disruptive, Vera seeks assistance from (Vasia), a local doctor who is nearby. In an attempt to de-escalate the situation involving her roommate and a gasoline canister, an accident occurs, resulting in the roommate's death. Vera and (Vasia) then decide to conceal the body in a suitcase. Complications arise when the mansion's owner returns, more focused on confronting his former schoolteacher, now implicated in a murder, than on the unfolding events at his property.
