Samantha, dealing with single life at a time when her girlfriends are either married or engaged, submits to a series of disastrous dates after her best friend buys her a membership into an on-line dating service. Meanwhile, Jack her neighbor has been blackmailed by his meddling sister into signing up for the same dating service. After a series of forgettable evenings, Jack finally meets the woman of his dreams on-line. It is Samantha using an internet alias.
