Meet Joe Black

Death (Brad Pitt), weary from centuries of guiding souls to their final destination, decides to take a break and experience life in human form. Seeking respite from the burdens of his role, Death encounters a businessman (Anthony Hopkins) with two daughters (Claire Forlani and Marcia Gay Harden). The businessman mentors him, imparting valuable life lessons. While Death, now known as Joe, finds joy in his earthly experiences, a significant issue arises: as long as he remains on hiatus, no one can die, leaving many in prolonged suffering. Joe faces a difficult decision -- to continue enjoying life on Earth or to return to his duties and alleviate the suffering of millions.
