Maigret et le mort amoureux

Inspector Maigret gets an urgent call to the Quai d'Orsay. The famous former ambassador, Mr. Berthier-Lagès, has been murdered. Maigret uncovers that he'd been exchanging love letters for fifty years with the Princess de Vuynes, whose husband -- oddly enough -- has just passed away. As he faces off with members of both families and the diplomat's suspiciously tight-lipped maid, Maigret finds himself in for one shock after another...
