Ma Loute

Several tourists have vanished on the beaches of the Channel Coast. Infamous inspectors Machin and Malfoy soon gather that these mysterious disappearances take place in Slack Bay, home to a community of fishermen that includes the curious Brufort family. The family's father, know as "The Eternal," oversees a band of prankster sons, especially the impetuous Ma Loute. Towering high above the bay stands the Van Peteghems' mansion, where the degenerate bourgeois family spends its summers. When a peculiar love story between Ma Loute and the mischievous Billie Van Peteghem blooms, confusion shakes the families to their foundations.
