Lightning Strikes Twice

Shelley Carnes (Ruth Roman) New York stage actor travels to a Texas dude ranch for her health. There, she falls for Richard Trevelyan (Richard Todd), a wealthy rancher who has just been (barely) acquitted on the charge of murdering his wife. Believing in his innocence, Shelley champions the man she loves -- until she discovers on her wedding night, to her horror, that he may have been guilty all along . . . and that she may be his next victim.
