Javier "El Tarzan" Lira, a former convict, seeks redemption by leaving his criminal life behind and accepting a position as a bill collector at a bank. His attempt at a fresh start is derailed when a corrupt police officer identifies him and uses blackmail to drag him back into the dark, tarnished underworld he had hoped to escape forever.
