Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos died on 24 January 2012. He was hit by a motorbike on the set of his uncompleted film about migration and the victims of the economic crisis, meaning that the film got stuck between dream and reality. No ambulance arrived to save the director: the crisis meant none were available.

French filmmaker Elodie Lélu's position in this fictional documentary, which she shot in the style of her mentor, is that the crisis murdered Theo. She was his friend, worked on his final film and made this intimate ode to his life and work. This cinematic letter seamlessly combines excerpts from Angelopoulos' films with images of contemporary Greece. It is blatantly clear that, five years on from Angelopoulos' death, his uncompleted film's themes have only become more relevant.
