Le Salaire de la peur

At the risk of the their own lives, four men agree to drive a load of nitroglycerene hundreds of miles over dangerous roads. The only benefit to this perilous double or quits is the chance to leave the impoverished central American village that they have been stranded in, Las Piedras. The oil company controls nearly all of the activity that takes place in the suffering village, now to the extent that the lives of the inhabitants are being put on the line.
