Le mélange des genres

Simone, a conservative-minded police officer, goes undercover in a feminist group known as the "Hardies." She's there to investigate the members, suspecting their involvement in the killing of a violent husband. As she spends time with them, Simone slowly starts to embrace feminist perspectives. But her disguise is shaky at best. When the "Hardies" begin to suspect there's a traitor in their midst, their suspicions fall on her. In a desperate move to shift the focus and save herself, Simone impulsively accuses a random man of sexual assault. Unfortunately, the man she points the finger at, Paul -- a struggling actor overshadowed by his wife -- is the gentlest and most harmless person imaginable. Devastated by her actions, Simone tries to undo the damage, but it's already too late: the accusation goes public, and Paul becomes a target of the group's wrath.
