Le Cri du Hibou

A match made in heaven, as the always stylish Chabrol adapts Highsmith's 1962 novel of the same name. A Parisian illustrator (Christophe Malavoy) gets more than he bargained for when Juliette (Mathilda May), the object of his distant obsession, decides to leave her husband for him, setting in motion a mechanism of schemes and whiplash double-crosses that land him before the law holding a smoking gun.
