20 years ago Jean-Pierre (Michel Barrette) left his wife, Louise (Louise Portal). Moreover, since then, Louise has been raising their children Marion and Sylvie all by herself. Eventually, Jean-Pierre comes back to his family believing all will be forgotten. During Sylvain's (Marc-André Grondin) 29th birthday, Jean-Pierre announces to his family that he's dating Evelyne (Julie LeBreton), a beautiful 30-year-old woman. Tensions between Jean-Pierre and his family begin to surface. As for Marion (Ève Duranceau), she has been trying to have a child for two years, but will be confronted with Evelyne's unexpected pregnancy. It goes without saying that Jean-Pierre's happiness is regarded as the source of Marion's, Sylvain's and Louise's pain. At the same time, this happiness of Jean-Pierre's might fade given that Evelyne starts secondguessing their relationship.
