La Petite et le Vieux

In 1980s Quebec, there is a young girl named Hélène, but she goes by Jo because she wants to be like her favorite cartoon heroine, Joséphine La Petite Mousquetaire. Jo is just ten years old, has three sisters, a father who is too absorbed in his own unhappiness, and a mother who is understanding but strict. They live in a vibrant working-class neighborhood filled with colorful characters, the most endearing of whom is their new neighbor, Monsieur Roger, a gruff old man with a tender heart.
