On February 8, 1977, Tony Kiritsis storms into the office of Richard Hall, president of Meridian Mortgage Company, and holds him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun. A chilling "dead man's wire" connects the trigger to Tony's neck, creating a tense standoff where any wrong move could spell disaster for both captor and captive.
