La Cage dorée

Maria and José Ribeiro lived on the ground floor of a Hausmann era building in a beautiful neighbourhood of Paris, for almost 30 years. Its residents share the same opinion about the immigrant couple: Maria, an excellent concierge and José, a friendly custodian, who after few years becomes a very important feature for all the people surrounding them. The valued couple become so integrated in their neighbourhood, that the very day they have the opportunity to return to Portugal with the best conditions, no one wants them to leave. To what extend will their family, neighbors and employers be able to make them stay in Paris? After so many years, do Maria and José really want to leave France and abandon their Golden Cage?
