The impact and legacy Stephen King's literary works have had on the cinematic landscape. The union between the author's literary output and cinema goes back to 1976, when filmmaker Brian de Palma directed CARRIE, the first novel and adaptation of Stephen King's work. Featuring interviews with Frank Darabont, Mike Flanagan, Greg Nicotero, Mick Garris, Tom Holland, James Caan, Amy Irving, Taylor Hackford. Since then, more than 50 directors have adapted the master of horror's books, in more than 80 films and series, making him now the most adapted author still alive in the world.
