Just Like a Woman

From an outsider's perspective, Marilyn (Sienna Miller) and Mona (Golshifteh Farahai) have little in common, one a receptionist at a computer repair company, the other a mini-mart-owning Algerian immigrant. But both Chicago women yearn to break free of their troubled home lives, and their paths intersect in this free-spirited road movie in the vein of Thelma & Louise. Making his English language debut, French-Algerian director Rachid Bouchareb presents a slice of Americana, detailing the ways in which the United States interacts with the Arab world.
