Journey to the Center of the Earth

A Scottish professor, Oliver Lindenbrook, accidentally discovers a map of sorts with directions on how to reach the center of the Earth through an Icelandic crater. When the professor looks to a colleague to verify his discovery, the colleague becomes a rival and the two engage in a race to see who will reach the center of the Earth first. The Lindenbrook Expedition finds a vast world underneath the surface of the Earth, including a lost city, a giant mushroom forest, and a huge underground ocean. The team is also confronted by dangerous prehistoric monsters as well as the rival expedition.
