In the Fire

In the 1890s, a New York doctor (Amber Heard) embarks on a journey to a remote plantation. Her mission is to provide medical care to a troubled young boy who exhibits seemingly inexplicable abilities. As she commences treatment for the child, her actions inadvertently spark a conflict between science and religion. The local priest, convinced that the boy is possessed by the Devil and responsible for the village's troubles, becomes her adversary in this clash of beliefs.
