Ten years ago, an energy wave was produced after a government experiment went wrong in Chicago. Millions of people died due to this and their ghosts roam the Earth. The protagonist, Roni, receives a threat from a ghost who tells her she's in danger. Joining her classmate Kirk, she descends into the shadow world, exploring the lines that separate the living from the dead. Roni goes on a thrilling quest to stop a killer from taking away everything and everyone she loves.
