In celebration of the 40th anniversary of her landmark album Horses, Patti Smith and her band performed the LP in its entirety during a two-night stand at L.A.'s Wiltern Theatre in 2016. This concert film shows the godmother of punk leading her band -- including original members Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty -- through stirring performances of classics like "Gloria" and "Free Money," along with a revved-up cover of The Who's "My Generation" with special guest Flea on bass. It's a moving reminder that at 40 years and counting, Smith's message of freedom is as timely and powerful as it's ever been.
