A true-life classic tale of redemption, HOOSIERS stars Gene Hackman as Coach Norman Dale, a volatile coach, and Dennis Hopper as Shooter, a former star player-turned alcoholic, who join forces to lead a small-town basketball team on an improbable run to the Indiana high school championship game. On their way to victory the duo encounter several hurdles in their path: a feisty teacher determined to keep the best player from going out for the team, a town chock full of second-guessing fathers, and a group of undisciplined athletes.
