A newly engaged man (Cary Grant) with a comfortable bank account is ready to take some time off to find himself. When his wealthy soon-to-be in-laws become distressed that he has no plans to go back to work, he finds support in an unlikely place -- with his fiance's free-spirited sister (Katharine Hepburn).
