Highway 61

McKellar plays Pokey Jones, a small-town Ontario barber who has immersed himself in the mythology of American pop music. Enter Jackie Bangs (Valerie Buhagiar), a disgruntled roadie looking to move a stash of narcotics across the border in an unlikely vehicle: the frozen corpse of a vagrant, which she claims to be her brother. When Jackie convinces him that this is his only chance to make a pilgrimage to the musical Mecca he's always dreamed about, Pokey straps the coffin to the top of his car and sets off with the seductive smuggler for New Orleans -- but he soon discovers that there is a massive gulf between myth and reality, especially when it comes to our southern neighbour.
