Heyday!

In the final days of World War II, sixteen-year-old Terry Fleming dreams of working at the Airlines Hotel in Gander, Newfoundland, where pilots and movie starlets mingle with locals amid the world's longest runway serving as a gateway for stars, dignitaries, and servicemen. When his mother falls gravely ill and their house is quarantined, Terry and his father (Peter MacNeill) await her health verdict. His vivid imagination conjures big bands, bombers, and babes, offering love and laughter as an antidote to the war outside and death within.
