After his father is murdered by international criminal Wo Fat, Navy Seal Steve McGarrett heads a specialized crime unit in Hawaii. Joined by falsely accused former cop Chin Ho Kelly, New Jersey detective Danny Williams, and academy graduate Kono Kalakaua, the team uses advanced resources and broad autonomy to combat threats while navigating personal matters such as McGarrett's history with his parents and Danny's custody battle for his daughter.
