Guru Nanak Jahz: The Journey of Komagata Maru

The film is based on the true story of the Komagata Maru incident, when 376 Indian Sikh immigrants aboard the Japanese steamship Komagata Maru arrived in Vancouver. Canadian immigration laws prevented most passengers from entering. After two months of legal battles and protests, the ship was forced to return to India.
