Government Cheese

Set in the 1969 San Fernando Valley, the story follows the Chambers family as they navigate the challenges of pursuing ambitious dreams while remaining blissfully unaware of the world's harsh realities. Hampton Chambers (Oyelowo) is released from prison, anticipating a joyful reunion with his family, but finds that his wife, Astoria (Missick), and sons, Einstein (Ellison) and Harrison (Di'Allo Winston), have adapted to his absence by forming an unconventional family dynamic. Hampton's return disrupts the fragile balance they have established, leading to unforeseen chaos.
