Girls

Girls is about four friends who are all struggling to figure out what adulthood means to them. The central character is Hannah, an aspiring writer who acknowledges that she does not yet have much to write about. Her best friend Marnie is beautiful and neurotic; Hannah alternates between being envious of Marnie and genuinely disliking the way Marnie treats people. Hannah worships Jessa, the glamorous Brit with a wanderlust who treats men like they are disposable. Shoshanna is the oddball of the group, but her sweet nature allows her to experience the most normal relationships and interactions with others. Girls is a depiction of the current lifestyles of recent college graduates. Unlike other shows about women living in major cities, Girls is relatable and realistic.
