Ghosts of the Sea

Born at sea, Virginia was only five when her father, the noted Norwegian adventurer (Peter Tangvald), tragically died in a shipwreck. Following the mysterious disappearance of her brother (Thomas) at sea in 2014, Virginia embarked on a quest to uncover her origins, which became the documentary *Ghosts of the Sea*. Through archival research and interviews with those who knew her unique family, she uncovers startling revelations: two of Peter's wives died under suspicious and potentially criminal circumstances. Virginia's film not only seeks to unravel her family's dark secrets but also challenges the romanticized notion of the sailor's life. Her journey concludes with the hope of breaking a toxic cycle.
