When Andy and Elizabeth purchase a farm in Vermont, they face several unforeseen challenges. Andy, who has left his job as a sports journalist, intends to utilize the tranquility of the countryside to write a novel. However, their experience proves to be far from peaceful. The moving truck carrying their furniture gets lost, and they encounter various unusual events, such as interactions with an eccentric mailman and the discovery of a body buried in their garden. These interruptions, along with the distinctive residents of the town, complicate Andy's efforts to concentrate on his writing, which produces varied results. Meanwhile, Elizabeth embarks on her own writing project, a children's book, adding complexity to their relationship. The story follows Andy and Elizabeth as they manage the challenges presented by the town and their evolving relationship.
