In early 20th-century Prague, Franz Kafka (Idan Weiss) grapples with the conflicting forces shaping his life. Under the weight of his domineering father Hermann (Peter Kurth), he endures a stifling job at an insurance company while yearning to express his deepest emotions through writing. As his literary work begins to gain recognition, Kafka struggles to balance societal expectations with his desire for self-fulfillment. His intense relationships with women bring both enchantment and inevitable tension, oscillating between intimacy and retreat. With the support of his friend and publisher Max Brod (Sebastian Schwarz), Kafka navigates a path marked by duty, inner conflict, and the pursuit of creative identity.
