Feud: Capote vs. The Swans

Acclaimed writer Truman Capote damages his relationships with the Swans, a group of socialites from New York City's high society, by creating a thinly disguised fictional account of their scandalous and indulgent lives in his ultimately unfinished novel, "Answered Prayers." When the chapter "La Côte Basque 1965" is published in Esquire, named after a restaurant frequented by both the Swans and Capote, several members of the group vow to take revenge and destroy his life.
