Journalist Massimo (Valerio Mastandrea) writes a high-profile advice column, having paid his dues covering professional sports and the war in Bosnia. Ironically, this perennial moper would seem a good candidate for professional help himself, having never gotten over the loss of his beloved mother at a young age, as seen in a series of vivid flashbacks of dreamlike intensity.
