While on a class field trip to Parker Mental hospital, psychology major, Abby Jones (Christine Evangelista) has a terrifying encounter with high-risk patient Harmon Jaxon, (Dominic Purcell) which triggers a deep seeded obsession within him. Still shaken by the event, Abby returns home to her roommates, Lynn Peterson, (Carly Chaiken) and Renee Sanders, (Melissa Ordway) unaware that Harmon has escaped, leaving a trail of death in his wake. As Harmon makes his way toward Abby, a storm descends on the small town, sending detective Allison Jensen (Faith Ford) and Chief Gaines (David Jensen) on a relentless pursuit to stop him. Later that evening, while Renee goes to a tailgate party with her boyfriend Kyle, (Justin Gaston) Abby and Lynn are visited by handsome neighbor cop, Carter Thomas, (Scott Elrod) as well as professor Davis, (Danny Nucci). Each warns them of strange happenings in the area and the news of a reported escapee. As Harmon's sinister presence moves closer, Abby's friends begin to disappear, leaving her petrified and alone in the pitch-black night.
