As with all new parents, sleeplessness is a major factor, but the exhausted Anna's grip on her fluctuating emotions is often precarious, creating extra pressure for Andreas, who himself is suffering short temper outbursts as a result of the fatigue. When Tristan, an ex-con that Andreas was originally responsible for arresting, gets out on parole and creates domestic disturbances with drug-addict girlfriend Sanne, Andreas is disturbed to see Sanne's neglected infant living among the squalor, and can't let go.
