Drowning

Inspired by a true event where writer/director Melora Walters' son was deployed to Iraq and Syria.

The film draws on this experience as a catalyst to explore the grief and depression that many family members of soldiers struggle to reconcile with back at home. As such, the film follows Rose (Walters) as she crosses paths with strangers and confides in close friends, grappling with her own faults to discover meaning in life.
