After Eddie Mottram (Daniel Mays) is released from prison on parole, his probation officer, Paula (Anna Friel), tries to help him reintegrate into society. But when Eddie proclaims his innocence of the crime, Paula must decide if she believes him and whether she's willing to risk her career over it.
