Disengagement

Ana reunites with her estranged Israeli stepbrother, Uli, when he comes to France following the death of their father. Motivated to reconnect with her past, Ana decides to return to Israel in search of the daughter she gave up for adoption 20 years earlier. As they journey across borders by car, train, and boat, Ana and Uli find themselves amidst the significant events of 2005, during the military-enforced disengagement of Israeli settlers from Gaza.
