In 2015, 19-year-old Leonardo (Manfredi Marini) moves from Palermo to London to study business with his sister. Disenchanted with the city's party scene, he soon transfers to the University of Siena to study literature. In Siena, Leonardo becomes captivated by the medieval city but struggles to connect with his professors and peers. He immerses himself in early-modern Italian literature, neglecting the curriculum. A year later, in Turin, Leonardo encounters a kindred spirit who may help him realize his deepest aspirations.
