Loosely based on the experiences of groundbreaking novelist Anaïs Nin and set against the backdrop of looming war in Europe, this erotic drama follows a young woman as she travels to France in 1939 to pursue her dream of being a writer. While in France, she meets a wealthy and handsome French novelist who contracts her into writing erotica for a dollar a page and is launched on a journey of sexual self-discovery.
