Defiance

The Earth of 2046 is very different from the one we know today. The terrain has been drastically shifted and many species of both plant and animal life have faded forever only to be replaced by new lifeforms. The city-state of Defiance has been constructed atop the remains of St. Louis, Missouri, representing a united effort on the part of the humans native to Earth and the Votans, the collective term for the diverse alien humanoids who have sought refuge on Earth since 2013. Humans and Votans in 2046 have worked diligently to overcome the disasters caused by bigotry and misunderstanding between the groups, but challenges remain as the citizens look to protect themselves from hostile outside forces and resist letting internal tensions boil over.
