Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

This spoof of '40s private eye/film noir thrillers focuses on a detective (Steve Martin) trying to solve the murder of a scientist. Hired by his wife (Rachel Ward), the detective interviews a steady stream of clients (Martin interacting with actual footage of various detective classics such as Double Indemnity and The Bribe) to discover the identity of the killer.
