Daughter of the Light

Thirteen-year-old Metok Karpo lives in a Tibetan boarding school for orphans even though her divorced parents remain alive and well. Her maternal grandparents raise her and turn her school holidays into torment by constantly denouncing her father. As her mother attempts an unsuccessful remarriage, Metok sets out on a journey to locate her father.
