Dangerous Ground

Vusi Madlazi returns to his childhood village in South Africa, where he left as a young boy due to his involvement in organizing against apartheid and subsequent fears for his life, to attend his father's funeral. Upon arrival, Vusi reconnects with his brother Ernest, who informs him that he was unable to reach their other brother, Stephen. Determined to locate him, Vusi travels to Johannesburg, where he initially finds Stephen's neighbor and girlfriend, Karin, who works as a stripper. During his search, Vusi observes the changes in South Africa since the end of apartheid, recognizing that the progress has not been universally positive, particularly for Black men.
