Cool Runnings

After a track accident at his Olympic qualifying race takes him out of the running, sprinter Derice (Leon Robinson) seizes on an unlikely way to realize his Olympic dreams: form the first ever Jamaican bobsled team. With his best friend and two other elite runners in tow, Derice seeks out Irv Blitzer (John Candy), a disgraced former bobsled champion who has retired to Jamaica, and convinces him to coach the team for the Games. After much trial and error, the team makes it to the Calgary Olympics, where they defy both the odds and their own inexperience to do their country proud.
